Otoboke Beaver then gained a significant boost in exposure following a celebrated appearance at Record Store Day 2015, which caught the eye of the Damnably record label. They released their EP Love is Short!! through the label, with the title single reaching charting success in the UK.

Otoboke Beaver soon enjoyed a slew of appearances at prominent events and venues including 100 Club, South by Southwest and the Coachella Festival. They have been widely praised in publications like NPR and Pitchfork, winning Best Live Act at the 2017 AIM Independent Music Awards.
