Be there for every scrum with Old Glory DC tickets. The professional rugby team Old Glory Rugby DC RFC was founded in 2016 and competes in Major League Rugby, or MLR, and is based in Washington D. C. Home grounds for the team is Cardinal Stadium, which can seat 3,500.

The team’s creation was announced as an expansion team for the MLR on May 15, 2018. The owners include the Scottish Rugby Union Team along with former USA Eagles player Paul Sheehy and Chris Dunlavey, a local club competitor. The inaugural head team of the coach was New Zealander Andrew Douglas, who had coached all over Australia and New Zealand as well as in Europe, Asia and the United States.

Though the team did not start MLR play until 2020, the Old Glory held a series of exhibition games against the All Ireland League team Shannon, the Scottish national Under 20 team, the senior Canada team the Ontario Blues and the USA Rugby South Team, finishing 2-2 after losing the first two games. The team started play in 2020, with co-captains Mungo Mason and Thretton Palamo, going 4-1 in their inaugural season.
