NRBQ Concert Tickets
See the genre-bending quartet with NRBQ tickets. Nrbq stands for the New Rhythm & Blues Quartet and is an R&B, blues rock and jazz group made up of members John Perrin, Casey McDonough, Scott Ligon and Terry Adams. They are known for their proficiency in a variety of styles and for their highly interactive and often improvisational live shows.
The New Rhythm & Blues Quartet formed in 1965 in Louisville, Kentucky, playing some of their earliest shows at the famed Cheetah Club. By 1969 they were signed to Columbia Records, through which they released their eponymous debut album later that year. The group’s musical sophistication saw them collaborate heavily with star Carl Perkins on his Boppin’ the Blues, as well as perform widely alongside R.E.M. as part of the Acronym Tour.
Despite a brief hiatus in 2004, the New Rhythm & Blues Quartet reunited in 2006 to record their critically acclaimed Louisville Sluggers album. Over the years the band has grown a dedicated cult following due to their ability to record music ranging from Beatles-style pop to traditional jazz. Star artists including Keith Richards, Paul McCartney and Bob Dylan have all cited the quartet as a favorite band. Buy NRBQ tickets now to see this versatile group of musicians live on stage.
