In 2011, the band was formed by power trio Jarvis Leatherby, Armand John Anthony and former New Liberty's Dusty Squires. Their first EP, Night Demons, debuted in 2013, attracting new metal listeners and vintage headbangers alike. They toured across North America extensively in support of Night Demons in late 2014. The tour featured appearances from the band's mascot, "Rocky," the hooded skeleton from the cover of their EP. Rocky has continued to make regular appearances during performances to this date.
Night Demon's first studio album, Curse of the Damned, debuted in 2015. The album received critical acclaim from fans and critics and was voted the number one album by WJCU Metal on Metal listeners that same year. Night Demon tickets first became available internationally in 2016 and 2016, as the band embarked on a massive tour that included around 100 live performances.
In 2017, the band was honored as the Best "Up & Coming" band by Metal Hammer, a German magazine, which showcased the group's rise to international stardom. The award amounted to significant global coverage, leading to Night Demon's debut appearance at the largest heavy metal festival in the world, Wacken Open Air Festival.
