The members are Joe Nelson, Eric W. Brown, Aaron Van Zutphen, Aaron Minich, Alex Alereza and Nicky Calonne.  

Calonne founded Nekrogoblikon in Palo Alto in 2006. In the years that followed, he filled out the band’s lineup by recruiting fellow heavy metal enthusiasts from the University of California, Santa Barbara. In 2011, Nekrogoblikon released their album Stench, which received widespread critical acclaim for its sophisticated musicianship and innovative use of electronic elements.

The following year, the band went viral online through the release of the music video to their song “No One Survives.” Their rising profile saw them begin performing at prominent events such as the Download Festival in England and Rock am Ring and Rock im Park in Germany.
