NBA Preseason Game Tickets

Enjoy an exhibition of some of the greatest basketball players in the world outside of their normal venues when you purchase NBA Preseason tickets via TicketSmarter. The NBA Preseason is when veteran players get in shape and rookie players try to make a spot on the starting lineup. It is also when players are required to pass a physical to see if the team should pay for their services. Just because a player is under a contract does not technically mean they will receive full payment. The first NBA Preseason games were played on October 1, 2009, using replacement referees from the WNBA and NBA Development League. This was the first time that replacement referees were used since the 1995-1996 season. However, the NBA and the regular referees reached a deal on October 23, 2009.

The NBA also likes to use the preseason as an opportunity to expand its reach in untapped markets, such as, Kansas City, Missouri. One of the preseason games takes place between the Los Angeles Clippers and Shanghai Sharks at the Stan Sheriff Center in Honolulu, Hawaii and has been named the Clippers Hawaii Classic.
