When Sierra graduated, she became the youngest person to ever win the Marilyn Horne Foundation Vocal Competition.

Sierra’s first public performances began when she was only fourteen years old. She began as a Young Artist with the Palm Beach Opera. At fifteen, she appeared on NPR’s From the Top and performed "O mio babbino caro" from Gianni Schicchi. She has also been known to tour with Andrea Bocelli. Numerous awards have been bestowed upon Sierra throughout her musical career. She was the Beverly Sills Artists Award Winner in 2018. At the George London Foundation Competition in 2010, Sierra took home first place in the New York City division.
