The group's debut album, I Am the Movie, was released in 2003 but the band didn’t really hit it off until their album, Commit This to Memory, which debuted in 2005. Motion City Soundtrack has toured with bands like Relient K, the Wonder Years, and Say Anything. They have also performed at the Warped Tour and Riot Fest. While the band saw a breakup in 2016 to go their separate ways for a while, they have since gotten back together in 2019.
