In 2016, the band dropped their first album Chromaparagon, as a self-released project and the album gained extraordinary critical acclaim. The band quickly gained endorsements from companies like Vigier Guitars and Ernie Ball Strings. The Moon Tooth sound is defined by intense adrenaline-pumping songs layered with incredible musical talent. The success of the band's first album helped them form a relationship with record producer Machine during a tour with Fit For An Autopsy in 2017. Inspired by the band's sound, the renowned producer helped to create their 2019 release Crux with the help of Lamb of God’s Mark Morton. The album featured songs like “Awe at All Angles”, “Through Ash”, “Rhythm & Roar”, and “Motionless in Sky”. On songs like “Six of Swords” Moon Tooth show, they are more than the typical metal band with its acoustic elegance.
