He has since enjoyed a successful solo career, with his 2017 release Maybe Tomorrow charting at the number one spot on the Danish Vinyl Albums chart.
Tramp was born in 1961 in Copenhagen and showed a talent for music as a boy. In 1976 he joined the pop band, Mabel, as their lead singer, achieving teen idol status by 1980. In 1983 Tramp formed the band White Lion with friend and fellow musician Vito Bratta, with whom he achieved significant success in the late 80s and early 90s. Their sophomore album Pride went triple platinum, with its lead single “When Children Cry” becoming a number three hit. White Lion released several further albums which would be certified gold, and remain regarded as pioneers of the Danish glam metal scene.
