He released two albums and performed all over Long Island with his original music.  DelGuidice decided in early 2000 to start a band to be called Big Shot, which was a tribute to Billy Joel music and drew sold-out crowds from the start, over a decade later they were touring and playing over 100 gigs a year. Soon following DelGuidice would call upon some of Joel's original band members to join. That helped garner the attention of Billy Joel himself.
