Band members include vocalist/guitarist Alex Edkins, bassist Chris Slorach and drummer Hayden Menzies. The trio is associated with noise rock, hardcore punk, post-punk and punk rock music.
The Metz has worked with Sub Pop Records, Royal Mountain Records, Three One G Records and Swami Records. Metz has performed at legendary music festivals across the U.S. and internationally, among them Loose Ends Festival in Amsterdam in 2019. The band’s debut album, Eponymous released in 2012 and was named among the 2013 Polaris Music Prize long list. That same year, the group performed a sold-out homecoming show at the legendary Lee’s Palace in Toronto.
Metz’ sophomore release II, featured the smash hit “Acetate,” accompanied by its rebel-rousing music video. II was a longlisted nominee for the 2015 Polaris Music Prize. Their third album Strange Peace released on Sept. 22, 2017, followed by Atlas Vending on Oct. 9, 2020. Metz has released a total of 13 singles including “Dirty Shirt,” “Good Not Great,” “Ripened on the Fence,” “Negative Space,” “Wait in Line,” “Can’t Understand” and “Eraser.” Metz tickets await every punk rocker at TicketSmarter!
