Following its introduction, the web series was released on DVD with Mega64: Version 1 in 2004, Version 2 in 2006 and Version 3 in 2010, as well as special editions of the first two versions released in 2008 and 2011. The Mega64 crew also host a podcast and have taken part in Disneyland’s Gamedays event, which allows the crew and fans to intermingle during their explorations of the theme park. The podcast underwent several upgrades from its 2006 audio-only format to video formatting in 2007 and live streaming on Ustream in 2009. In 2015, Mega64TV launched with 24-hour streaming of the content by the team, including past skits, unreleased material and full episodes from the Mega64 DVDs.

Rocko and Derek become attached to the device, as they are turned into characters and interact with normal people for the viewer’s pleasure. The team has created skits featuring popular Ubisoft video games, like Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones in 2005 and Tom Clancy’s 2008, Rainbow Six Vegas 2.
