He also composed original music for silent films including Jean Epstein’s Coeur fidèle (1923).
In 2009, he released the album Novö Piano, the first volume in a body of covers devoted to tracks from other pop, rock and electro groups. Novö Piano II was issued in 2015, followed by Novö Piano Live (2018). Working outside of the Novö Piano series, Cyrin released the albums The Fantasist (2012) and Nocturnes (2014).
He toured the United States in 2016 and appeared at the Montreal Jazz Festival in 2017, where he performed the Aphex Twin Variations suite. In addition to his recorded work, Cyrin composed music for haute couture fashion shows. In 2020, he issued the Aurora album on Warner Classics.
