In need of a guitarist to complete the trio, they saw Brian Zaghi, known as Zang, playing bass in a friend’s band in L.A., instantly knowing that they had found their third. With Austin on vocals, Zambricki on violin, Zang on guitar and all three rocking an impressive array of instrumental skills, they would quickly become one of the most colorful indie-folk bands in the industry today.
The group would debut in 2015 with the release of their self-titled EP, with the song "Let It Burn" in particular generating widespread praise. Soon their charismatic stage presence combined with their creative fusion of folk, pop and rock would become a major selling point for the group, as Magic Giant tickets became famous for providing audiences an absolute musical joyride from start to finish. By 2016, the band’s sudden attention would land them gigs at several of the hottest festivals, including Electric Forest, Wanderlust and Lightning in a Bottle, and in 2017, Magic Giant would release their first full-length album In the Wind. The album was a roaring success, carried by sensational singles "Set On Fire," which charted top 30 on Billboard's Alternative chart, and "Window," which charted top 40 on the Hot AC radio chart.
