Angel eventually graduated with accreditations to teach accordion, piano and music theory at just the age of twelve. It did not take long before Angel started finding success once he started touring with his band Verano.

Angel moved to Mexico City to start his solo career and found traction with the release of the single “Llorarás.” The single plus other successes like “Yo Mismo” prompted Angel to begin creating music in Los Angeles. As Angel’s career continued to rise, he received his first Grammy nomination in 1989 for Best Composer of the Year. In 2020, Angel released Luis Angel Symphony with the Loja Symphony Orchestra commemorating a career spanning 40 years.
