Her song “Snare Drum” won the 8th Annual Independent Music Awards for Best Folk Singer-Songwriter in 2009. Also, in 2009, she was a winner of the Grassy Hill Kerrville Folk Festival’s Singer-Songwriter Competition. She has toured throughout the United States and has gained many fans for her incredible musical talent.
