Raphael Buyo, Josh, Holcomb, and Daro Behroozi took their instrumental skills and started off busking on street corners and in subway stations. Once the trio got to college, they decided to take the band to the professional level.
Between the three of them, they play the sousaphone, trombone, saxophone and clarinet. Their music generally consists of covers and mashups which allows for a wide variety of performance material. Lucky Chops have gained a substantial following on YouTube and have also had a variety of guest artists perform with them.
Since 2016, the band has released more than 8 albums. They have also expanded to include Joshua Gawel on trumpet, Adrian Condis on bari saxophone, Reginald Chapman on the contrabass bugle, and Patrick Simard on percussion.
