Le Rêve is set on an aquatic stage, theater-in-the-round style, filled with more than one million gallons of water. To fill these many gallons, 90+ performers excelling at diving and strength in the water take to the stage. The number of cast and crew needed per show totals more than 250.
The first performance was on May 6, 2005, and was based on the design of creator Franco Dragone. However, the design is updated every six months by new creative voices. Since 2005, the show has run thousands of performances. In the years since, great acclaim has greeted Le Rêve, which was voted “Best Production Show” by the Southern Nevada Hotel Concierge Association many times, including nine consecutive years.
Le Rêve tickets are not only for amazing aquatic sights but also for an engaging story. The story features a female lead caught in her passion for two men. She enters a dream realm to decide between the men. In this realm, she encounters strange and beautiful sights. The performers engage in dancing, swimming, diving and gymnastics to create the views. Among the many feats assigned to the performers is climbing over 80 feet above the stage and then diving back down into the water. To tell the story, the performers accomplish many other great acrobatic acts amid water and fire. Le Rêve also boasts intricate costumes, lighting and sound design, choreography and makeup design.
The cast has attracted notable athletes, including famous gymnasts and Olympic athletes like Maurizia Cecconi and Kristina Lum-Underwood. Other performers from the production have made their mark as well, as some appeared on America’s Got Talent and CNN’s Somebody’s Gotta Do It.
