The film The Original Latin Kings of Comedy was released in 2002. It was directed by Jeb Brien and was a tie-in sequel to the 2000 film The Original Kings of Comedy, which featured African American comedians such as Bernie Mac, Steve Harvey, D.L. Hughes and Cedric the Entertainer. As well as Medina and Rodriguez, other showcased comedians included Cheech Marin, George Lopez and Alex Reymondo.
