The band originally went by the name “Section 8” but found this name too familiar in the music industry. Their current name was influenced by the van they toured around in at the start of their career. They signed with Flat Wreck Chords in the early 1990s and released their first album with the company, Duh, in 1992, an album which they recorded and mixed in four days.
In 2000, the band’s members began pursuing solo endeavors, so they decided to take a hiatus. Their next release, Resolve, came out in 2005, but nine years would pass before their next album, Hang, would be released. In these years, the band would take short hiatuses to work on their individual projects.
In October 2019, this punk band released their eighth studio album, Railer, and the hit single “Bubble” from the album.
