The remix rapidly accrued millions of plays, even getting recognition from Tove Lo herself. With her blessing, Kream would officially release the track later that year, and by 2020, it would garner an astounding 50 Million plays on all platforms. And just like that, Daniel and Markus put themselves on the map, as Kream tickets were in hot demand.
Praised for their pulsing bass, emotive vocals and dance-oriented pop, the Norwegian artists and their remixing skills were suddenly getting requests from some of the biggest names, including Dua Lipa, Anne Marie, Bazzi and Zara Larsson. By 2017, they had landed a deal with Big Beat/Atlantic Records, which was followed by the release of their original track "Taped Up Heart." Featuring Swedish vocalist Clara Mae, the song peaked at number 22 on Billboard's Hot/Dance Electronic Songs chart, while also being played 100 million times on Spotify as of 2020.
It wouldn’t take long before they would release another banger, with their 2018 song "Decisions" going on to reach number 39 on the Billboard Dance Chart. 2018 would be big for the duo, releasing multiple highly celebrated songs over the course of the year, including "Know This Love" featuring Litens, and "Enough" featuring Shoffy. There is no slowing down the Slettebakken brothers, as this talented duo continues attracting a robust and loyal global following that seems to only keep growing.
