Móglaí Bap’s friend was arrested, and he didn’t speak English to the authorities and had to spend the night in a cell waiting for a translator. Móglaí Bap was spray-painting the Irish word Cearta, which means rights or human rights in English. This story was the push Kneecap needed to form and release their first hit single “C.E.A.R.T.A.”.
