Kix became swiftly known for concert favorites "Yeah, Yeah, Yeah," "The Itch," "Love at First Sight" and "Atomic Bombs" from the self-titled album.
The group released Cool Kids in 1983, which included three cover songs. While the cover of "Body Talk" fell flat, "Restless Blood" and "Mighty Mouth" quickly became hit singles. However, it wasn't until the late 80s that Kix rose to popularity.
Kix tickets drew crowds following the release of their platinum record, Blow My Fuse, in 1988. Their hit single, "Don't Close Your Eyes," reached the No. 11 spot on the Billboard Hot 100, and their singles "Cold Blood" and "Blow My Fuse" furthered that success. In the early 1990s, Kix went on to release two more albums, Hot Wire and Live.
In 1996, the band went their separate ways to pursue side projects, but they were reunited in 2003. Kix released the hit album Rock Your Face Off after their brief hiatus, which landed No. 49 on the Billboard Top 200 and No. 1 on Amazon Hard Rock. Rock Your Face Off became their second most successful album.
Kix went on to headline in Rockingham Festival 2017 in the United Kingdom. Shortly after, the band released a special edition of their most successful album with Fuse 30 Reborn – 30th Anniversary Special Addition. The album featured remixes of several of their original hit songs.
