The band members are Fred Erskine on bass guitar, Jeff Mueller on guitar and vocals, Dough Scharin on drums and Sean Meadows on vocals and guitar as well. June of 44 band members were all ex-members of successful bands like Rex, Lungfish, Hoover and Rodan. The name June of 44 is inspired by the period in which the two famous writers Henry Miller and Anais Nin were writing to each other.

The album was Revisionist: Adaptations & Future Histories in the Time of Love and Survival, which was released in 2020.
