When it came time for this group of musicians to choose a name for their band, they had trouble coming up with anything creative and decided to turn to an online band name generator, where the name Joyous Wolf was born. They soon signed to Atlantic Records under the label Roadrunner Records.
Though it took a few years for the young band members to get on their feet, they released their first studio album in 2019 to positive reviews. The album, titled Place in Time, mirrors the enthusiasm and talent often showcased in their live performances.
