He pursued his musical studies throughout school, eventually graduating in 2004 with a Bachelor’s degree in Cello Performance. He graduated with his Master’s a year later, in 2005, studying under former principal cellist of the Cleveland Orchestra, Desmond Hoebig.

From there, Roman became the youngest principal player for the Seattle Symphony, which he began at the age of 22 and left to embark on a solo career just two years later. Roman has played with various symphonies all over the country as well, like the Colorado Symphony, the Detroit Symphony and San Francisco Symphony.

His adventurous spirit has led him to collaborations with various artists over the years, including but not limited to, St. Lawrence, JACK, and Verona Quartets. He also has branched out into outreach programs across the world, playing alongside his siblings in Uganda playing chamber music for numerous schools, displacement camps, and HIV/AIDS centers.
