He went on to collaborate with artists such as Tony Williams, Jimi Hendrix and Miles Davis and played in the Mahavishnu Orchestra in the 1970s with albums such as 'The Inner Mounting Flame' (1971).
He released the album Extrapolation in 1969 and many others including Devotion (1970), Electric Guitarist (1978), Belo Horizonte (1981), Que Alegria (1992), The Promise (1995), Thieves and Poets (2003), Floating Point (2008), Now Here This (2012) and Black Light (2015).
