From there he managed to establish a decent following with releases like “Across the Borderline” and Riding with the King.

However, it was not until 1987 when Hiatt would have his breakout moment with his album Bring the Family. A string of success would follow, with his next nine albums all making the Billboard charts. His fan base grew dramatically, as audiences became captivated by his earnest interpretation of folk-rock and Americana music.
