Bandimere Speedway opened in 1958 and boasts a quarter-mile concrete dragstrip. The raceway hosts sanctioned events from the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA.) The NHRA is the world’s biggest governing body for drag racing, with over 40,000 drivers in its organization. Bandimere Speedway is sometimes referred to as Thunder Mountain by those in the NHRA. The Jet Car Nationals brings all the best drag racing, nitro shows and fireworks to the Bandimere Speedway.
Race fans will see fast speeds, flames and fireworks with Jet Car Nationals tickets. Jet Car Nationals brings the most powerful cars to the Colorado track. Jet engines propel these vehicles to speeds over 250mph, creating sonic booms and dropping jaws all across the grandstand. See races like the Madcap Racing Engines Fast 16, Fineline Series and Get Biofuel Quick 16. Past events have even included a race for teenagers called the JR Race Car Titan 16. Bandimere Speedway also brings thrilling motorsports shows to the track, with fan-favorite Ed “The Outlaw” Jones coming back each year to do high-speed wheelies in his Candyland stagecoach. Fans in previous years have also been treated to seeing Keith Jackson and Johnny West driving their nitro-methane dragsters. To complete this awesome night under the lights, attendees will see a patriotic fireworks show.
