Discover an unforgettable evening of timeless compositions with Jean Rondeau tickets. Bringing youth and charisma to the world of Baroque music, the young virtuoso Jean Rondeau jumps from moments of delicate, sentimental intimacy to crescendos full of flamboyant showmanship, taking the regal, magical sounds of the harpsichord to experimental, new realms. Immediately drawn to the instrument when he first heard it played on the radio when he was six years old, Rondeau went on to study Renaissance music, conducting, composition and jazz under the guidance of harpsichord player Blandine Verlet at the Paris Conservatoire of Music, later graduating from the Guildhall School of Music in London.

He came to wider attention in 2012 when he won a string of prestigious music prizes, including the EUBO Development Trust, which judged him to be the most promising talent in the European Union, and had the courage to record some of Bach's most complicated, landmark compositions on his debut album 'Imagine' in 2015 at the tender age of 24.

Some of the pieces were originally written for harpsichord, but he also interpreted arrangements that were intended for the lute, violin and flute as he sought to explore the different possibilities of the German master's compositions. His progressive, boundary-pushing approach again showed when he teamed up with lute player Thomas Dunford and percussionist Keyvan Chemirani and turned 18th century standards into wide-ranging, improvised, jam sessions, while the free-form spirit of jazz is central to his ensemble Note Forget with whom he plays piano.

More traditional Baroque influences were pursued when he composed the soundtrack to the movie 'Paula', a biopic about the life of artist Paula Modersohn-Becker.

His second album 'Vertigo' in 2016 featured the work of French composers Jean-Phillippe Rameau and Pancrace Royer and was recorded on an antique harpsichord dating from the 1700s in the historic Chateau d'Assas in a rural village in Montpellier. He also paid tribute to J.S. Bach and his three most famous sons Wilhelm Friedemann, Carl Philipp Emanuel and Johann Christian on 'Dynastie' in 2017 and is seen as one of the leading stars from classical music's new generation of artists. Whether it’s a grand symphony in a prestigious concert hall or a chamber music performance, there’s something all fans of classical music will enjoy.
