Jay Sean left Virgin in 2006 and set up his own label, Jayded Records. In 2008 he re-emerged on the UK scene with the single Ride It, which peaked at Number 11 in the UK charts. And the 2009 single Down was the most successful single ever by an Asian artist in America, topping the Billboard 100. In 2009 he signed to Cash Money Records.
