In the early ‘70s the James Montgomery Band was signed to Capricorn Records, and their 1973 eponymous debut album contained the song “Train,” a number one hit on New England radio. The band soon began touring widely with a slew of big-name acts including Aerosmith, Bruce Springsteen and the Steve Miller Band.
