Born in Cuba as Yosdany Jacob Carmenates, the artist found himself surrounded by the sounds of his town in Camagüey. Later, as the urban Caribbean music scene developed, he incorporated this sound into his distinctive style. In the 2000s, he made his debut with Made in Cuba. Later, in 2005, he decided to join Gente de Zona as the Cubatón scene was growing in popularity and so was the group. He has only become more popular from there.
