His smash hit, “Counting Blue Cars,” is famous for its poignant lyrical prowess, “Tell me all your thoughts on God, ‘cause I’d really like to meet Her.” The song garnered Richard a Billboard Music Award for Top Mainstream Rock Track of the Year.
JR Richards has an impressive inventory of gold and platinum albums under his belt and won two ASCAP Awards for Most Performed Song of the Year. Among other albums, the musician has released 1998’s, And You Think You Know What Life’s About, a live album aptly titled, Greetings from the Flow State, 2002’s Opaline, and 2008’s Dishwalla.
