Barnatan's first season as Artistic Director of the La Jolla Music Society SummerFest in 2019 saw him discover transformation through music programs. He has collaborated with Cécile McLorin Salvant, Grammy-winning jazz vocalist, along with visionary director and visual artist Doug Fitch to bring other acclaimed talents together for a series devoted towards cross-discipline exploration that promises not only artistic influence but also intellectual exploration for audiences.
