The group released their first album in 2012, Abominamentvn. Their second album came out in 2015 and quickly became popular among their fanbase. That second album truly set the band apart from other black metal genre performers. The level of intensity and intimacy shown throughout their second album set the path for their style and reinvented the way fans view death metal.

Following the release of their third album, Imperial Triumphant began a European tour and in October 2019 signed with Century Media Records. After the release of yet another album in 2020, there was an accompanying documentary video describing the work put into making their music.

Since its beginnings in 2005, Imperial Triumphant has changed its music style and the style of the entire death metal/black metal genre. They’ve taken influences from living in New York City and incorporated it into their music.
