Nude Casino is the band's second album, and it has a more cerebral and ridiculous approach to songwriting.
Only a strong and long-term friendship could overcome the intense musical disharmony festering in Iguana Death Cult, a band as combustible as it gets. The band formed when singer/guitarist Jeroen Reek decided to bring together two of his prior pals, guitarist Tobias Opschoor, aspiring guitarist Justin Boer, and drummer Arjen van Opstal. The boys grew up together in the tiny town of Willemstad. A rock band with three guitarists, on the other hand, appeared to be out of the question for Reek, who is two years older than Boer. So, the group convinced Boer that he should play bass instead. He began doing so begrudgingly, but with a three-month deadline to put on their first show, he soon came to enjoy it. The quartet spent the night in an abandoned powder house: a hazardous spot for passionate, guerrilla-style rehearsals due to the potential for a small flame to result in the roof blowing up.
