Igor and the Red Elvises were created from Limpopo and they began with street performances in Santa Monica until the city forced them to stop due to crowd size. In 1996 the band released their debut album, Grooving to the Moscow Beat. Igor and the Red Elvises sound has been labeled “Siberian Surf Rock” and takes from funk, disco, folk, and Russian styles.

The 90s treated the band well as they released four more albums and made multiple television appearances.
