Blazing the trails of modern Americana Houndmouth tickets are a constantly evolving gem of a reason to go and catch a live performance. The band originates from New Albany, Indiana and first came together in 2011. The current group is made up of Matt Myers (guitar, vocals), Zak Appleby (bass, vocals), and Shane Cody (drums, vocals).

With each talented member handling multiple roles, the band moved from forming in the summer of 2011 to play at the SXSW music festival in March of 2012. Their first self-titled EP was written from inside the historic New Albany “The Green House”, which is fitting for their style that invokes the feeling of nostalgia.

The album’s success and corresponding tour led to them being signed by the revered indie label Rough Trade Records. This helped their debut full-length album From the Hills Below the City released in 2013. It would lead to appearances on The David Letterman Show as well as Conan along with more festivals.

Making the music that they enjoy is what makes Houndmouth tickets so fun as their passionate energy feeds into the crowd. Houndmouth isn’t happy staying the same as they grow on each release. Their second LP Little Neon Limelight featured the single “Sedona” which reached the #1 spot on adult alternative radio.

The band flipped the script again with their third album Golden Age which is in a style the band coined “retro-future”. It was released in 2018, two years after Katie Toupin (keyboard, vocals) left the group to pursue other opportunities. Toupin and Myers first started as a duo act before the band grew into its current form.
