They played for a while and released several EPs on their own. But it wasn’t until they signed with Moshi Moshi in 2003 that they put out their first LP. 2005’s “Coming on Strong” was a success and led them to leave Moshi Moshi to sign with EMI before releasing their sophomore effort “The Warning” in 2006.
This album garnered more critical and mainstream praise. It was nominated for the 2006 Nationwide Mercury Prize and won Mixmags album of the year. Their mainstream appeal continued to expand with their third release, “Made in the Dark.” This album spawned the successful single “Shake a Fist” and earned the band a Grammy nomination for Best Dance Recording.
To date they have seven albums and continue to tour all over the world. They’ve played the largest festivals in the world at Glastonbury, Lollapalooza, Coachella, and Austin City Limits.
