Helden began his career with 2013’s release of the song “Gecko” that signed him signed to Spinnin’ Records. That same year he hit DJ Magazine’s Top 100 DJs at #34 and has never dropped below that point. The Remix “Gecko (Overdrive)” hit #1 on the UK Top 40 charts. He followed up these hits releases with “Koala” and “This” in 2014 and hit #12 on the Top 100 list; he would hit the #8 spot three times in the next six years. Over the next few years, he released other hits like “Waiting”, “Hide & Seek”, “Break It Down” and “Space Sheep”
In 2016 Helden released the song “Renegade Mastah” under the name Hi-Lo via his new record label Heldeep Records. As Helden was the progenitor of the genre future house, he decided to create a new persona to explore a more underground sound. As Hi-Lo he released the singles “Wappy Flirt”, “Ohh La La”, “Scrub the Ground” and “Crank It Up”.
