Focusing on music from a young age Heckler played trombone in school and started producing music at the age of 13. Originally focusing on hip hop music Bacus slowly honed his skills until he eventually turned toward electronic dubstep. Drawing influences from artists like Skrillex, Nero, and Flux Pavilion, Shaun combined styles together to create brand new sounds. Taking his name from a dream in which he saw his logo Hekler is a fountain of inspiration.
Four years after his grandfather bought him his first pair of monitors Bacus became hyper-focused on music in 2015. Two years later he released his first track under the name of Hekler and not long after could be found performing at festivals like Okeechobee Music and Arts Festival. With numerous electric rhythms that are consistently infectious, Hekler tickets are a party in a purchase. Hekler has grown from looking up to his idols to working with some of the hottest names in the music industry like Adventure Club, NGHTMRE, and The Chainsmokers. Creating a unique style of music Heckler is sometimes considered the future of bass music. Hekler uses a dark and eerie style on his tracks that make them stand out individually. Songs like “Levitate” almost create the sensation with their dramatic build-up and radical sounds. Every Hekler song has a mind of its own which makes for spectacular shows.
