The indie label put out the band's debut album in 2005, Stairs and Elevators, which was met with glowing reviews from Rolling Stone magazine. The release of 2008’s The Mountain ushered in a new era for the band. Produced by Mike McCarthy from Spoon, they experimented with country music instruments like banjo and mandolin on the record for the first time. In the fall following the release, they would also support Wolfmother on the band's US tour dates. The band has also released two well-received albums on Partisan Records, Arrow and Restless Ones.
