The Heartland Men’s Chorus was founded in 1986 in Kansas City, Mo. At that time, thirty gay men came together to form a choral ensemble with a mission to share beautiful choral music, while supporting the gay community. Over the years, this ensemble has grown tremendously and is an audition-only group. The Heartland Men’s Chorus offers three main concerts each year at the Folly Theater, which has been their performance home since 1994. Beyond the stage, this ensemble also engages with their community through a variety of outreach programs, always striving to support LGBTQ people.
