The Casino du Lac-Leamy first opened in 1996 as a government-run casino serving Gatineau, Ottawa and Eastern Ontario. Built on a precipice overlooking both the Lac de la Carriere and Lac Leamy, the casino’s highlight is its 1,100-seat theater which has become one of the province’s leading music venues.
The Guitar Story concert celebrates the sounds of the guitar and pays tribute to the most influential guitarists of the 20th century. Six musicians and two singers play songs in both English and French, surveying nearly 100 guitarists from the past 100 years. Behind the artists, audiences can see an impressive wall of three dozen custom-built guitars.
With a repertoire of songs from several genres, attendees can expect the blues of Stevie Ray Vaughan, the rock and roll of Led Zeppelin and even flamenco and gypsy jazz.
