Bonnet's tenure with Rainbow was short lived and he left after recording 'Down to Earth' to resume his solo career. Bonnet has explored various avenues within the world of rock including a brief spell with The Michael Schenker Group which lasted for just one live appearance after Bonnet exposed himself on stage under the influence of drink and Schenker fired him.
