Before long, he was befriended by Jake Ames, who came from a family rooted in country music. Tyler and Jake spent many years learning the art of guitar playing and attending music fests, like the Kerrville Folk Festival, before finally breaking into the music scene. They released their first album in 2003 entitled Let the Needle Drop. The album was generally well-received by the public, earning a 5 out of 5 stars from Amazon Music customers.
