Listen to a bluegrass performance with Golden Highway tickets. Multi-instrumentalist, singer and songwriter Molly Tuttle was born in Santa Clara County, Calif., on January 14, 1993. She won the International Bluegrass Music Association’s Guitar Player of the Year in 2017. She is now recording and performing with her backup band Golden Highway.
Tuttle began playing guitar at the age of eight, performing on stage with her dad at the age of 11 and joined the bluegrass band The Tuttles at the age of 15. In 2012, she was awarded a merit scholarship to the Berklee College of Music and Composition. That same year, she also appeared on the show a Prairie Home Companion.
Hear one of the First Ladies of bluegrass with Golden Highway tickets. While in Berklee, Tuttle joined the Goodbye Girls, which combine bluegrass, jazz and Swedish music. Among other acts she has recorded with include fiddle player John Mallander, the bluegrass supergroup The First Ladies of Bluegrass, Bela Fleck and Old Crow Medicine Show.
Her backup band Golden High consists of Dominick Leslie on mandolin, Kyle Tuttle on banjo, Bronwyn Keith-Hynes on fiddle and Shelby Means on bass. Her debut album, When You Know, was released in 2019.
