In 2009, Givers released an EP and ran shows with the Dirty Projecters and signed to Glassnote Records. In 2011, they released their debut full-length album, In Light, which received rave reviews worldwide. The album was a massive success, and every song on the album was licensed for TV and film and was heard on programs such as Glee and in video games like FIFA 12.
The group also got to perform their single “Up Up Up “on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and garnered the attention of rock legend Neil Young who said they blew his mind. Following the successes, Givers took a well-deserved break in 2012 but returned in 2015 with a new album, New Kingdom. More recently, the group released an EP titled Movin’ On, which was produced by iconic producer Dave Cobb, known for his work Chris Stapleton and Sturgill Simpson.
